WHAT TYPE OF SCHOLARSHIP DOES TCB OFFER?
Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) currently provides scholarship awards to Bonaireans with a Sedula who demonstrate a strong commitment to the industry and the potential for future success on Bonaire. All scholarships are for tuition costs only. The scholarship is only for all areas of Hospitality and Tourism Management for Associate (MBO), Bachelor, Master programs and individual courses. These are not transferable to other programs without prior approval from TCB.
WHAT COSTS DOES THIS SCHOLARSHIP COVER?
The Bonaire Tourism Program supports tuition fees only. We do not pay for past tuition costs or loans. Candidates must demonstrate proof of cost for the course or degree they will follow. Depending on the study or course the student will follow The Bonaire Tourism Scholarship Program does have a maximum amount per student that is allowed to grant.
WILL THIS COVER THE WHOLE ACADEMIC TUITION FEE?
It depends. If the participant follows a one-time individual professional development course, the fee will be paid in full. If the participant follows an education minimum of 2 years, they must re-apply annually for continued support.
HOW ARE THE SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS CHOSEN?
There is a Selection Committee that will review every application and we make our decisions based on the merit of the application against the strength of other applications.
Every TCB scholar must return to Bonaire and work in the Hospitality or Tourism related field for a minimum of 2-years following their degree study. If you are unable or unwilling to comply with these criteria, please do not apply for the Bonaire Tourism Scholarship Program.
WHEN ARE THE SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS ANNOUNCED?
Upon consideration of the application, which must be made using our application form that will be available and must be submitted electronically by the given deadline. We will contact each applicant by email by the given deadline of their success and amount of their award or giving our regrets that we are unable to support their application.
